Stephanie Garren has announced her resignation as principal of Alliance Intermediate School to accept an administrative position outside of the district.
Garren joined Alliance City Schools in 2013 as the principal of the former Parkway Elementary School. She later moved to Alliance Intermediate School, previously Northside Intermediate School, where she has served the staff and students since 2017.
“We are grateful for the many years of dedicated service that Stephanie has given to our elementary schools. She’s provided steady leadership, genuine care for students, and had an unwavering commitment to the Aviator Way. While we will miss her dearly, we are excited to see her thrive in this new chapter. We wish her all the success in the world.” said Rob Gress, Superintendent of Schools.
Garren will remain with Alliance City Schools until mid-June, when she will transition out of the district.
“After thoughtful consideration, I have made the decision to accept a new opportunity in the North Canton City School District as the lead principal at North Canton Middle School.” Garren said. “While my family and I are thrilled to start this new chapter of our lives in the Viking community, deciding to leave Alliance has been one of the hardest decisions I have had to make. It has been a true honor to serve the school community for the last twelve years. I am proud of the work we have accomplished together and am deeply grateful for the dedication of our staff, the support of our families, and the resilience of our students. I leave with lasting memories and an appreciation for the countless individuals who have helped shape the leader and person that I am today.”
The district will begin the process of selecting the next principal of Alliance Intermediate School immediately.
