Even our kindergartners at Alliance Early Learning School are celebrating Start With Hello Week! 😊 Students in Tracy Bowser's class learned how to introduce themselves to someone new and ask questions. They practiced in their classroom and throughout the building, including introducing themselves to Shelli Grove's 1st grade class! 👋 #RepthatA

Students in Megan Harper's kindergarten class have been working on counting! As a fun end to the unit, students were given "recipe" cards to make "math soup." 🍲 They visited stations around the room to collect their "ingredients" (buttons, blocks, etc.). Then, they had to count out the correct number of each ingredient to put in their soup, according to their recipe. When finished, they exchanged bowls with a friend to check each other's work! 😃 What a great activity! #RepthatA

Assistant Superintendent Shawn Jackson was the first guest reader for Baeli Kimble's 1st grade class! 📚 He read them the story “There’s an Alligator Under My Bed.” At the end, the students had the opportunity to ask Mr. Jackson questions.

One student asked, “What is your favorite part of your job?” He responded with visiting classrooms and interacting with students of all ages! 😊 The class loved having Mr. Jackson visit so much, and the kids loved the story. #RepthatA

Each year, Alliance City Schools participates in Start With Hello Week! 👋 A simple "Hello" has the power to change a person's entire day. Throughout the week, all Aviators will participate in activities that strive to make connections, build relationships and provide a sense of belonging in our school community.

Crystal Gibbons' 1st grade class had their first guest reader of the year! 📚 Mariah Gibbons, Mrs. Gibbons' daughter, read "Skippy Jon Jones Lost in Space." 🚀 It was also her birthday, and the class made sure to give her her very own birthday crown and balloon! 🎈

Tracy Bowser's kindergartners read "Have You Filled a Bucket Today?" 📚 They sorted pictures with a friend into "bucket filler" or "bucket dipper," then practiced giving compliments and filling each other's buckets with coins. The students then wrote a message on the back of paper buckets and walked around the building giving them to staff to practice filling others' buckets. 🪣

When our little kindergarten friend Charleigh was nervous to ride the bus by herself this morning, Mrs. G didn't give it another thought before jumping into action! 🚌 She met her and her mom at the bus stop and hopped on the bus with Charleigh and her sweet, little bear. 🧸

We are so proud of Charleigh for being a brave risk taker and riding the bus all the way to school with Mrs. G and her new friends! ☺️

Sometimes new experiences can be scary for our little Aviators, but we have amazing principals and staff members, like Mrs. G, who help to inspire our students to be courageous! ❤️✈🩵 #RepthatA #WinTheDay

Students in Connilyn Cross’ class enjoyed using Play-Doh to play a game of Race to 20 during center time! 🎲 Students took turns rolling a die to make marks in their Play-Doh ten frames. The first student in each group to get to 20 won the round. What a fun activity! 😊 #RepthatA

Students in Becky Robertson's class at Alliance Early Learning School used their Play-Doh to create a pattern and represented their pattern with a math equation! ➕➖ They worked with a partner and then presented their work to classmates as they did a "gallery walk" around their Math Pattern Gallery. Way to go, Aviators! ✈ #RepthatA

On Friday, we officially welcomed the newest members of our Aviator team! They took part in a full day of Flight School, where they learned about our culture, participated in a bus tour of Alliance and discovered what it means to be part of ACS.

We are so excited to welcome these amazing new Aviators aboard! 🩵✈️❤️ #RepthatA

Alliance City Schools will once again have staggered starts for the 2026-27 school year! 📆

Once your child starts school, they will continue to go. For example, if a 1st grader starts on Tuesday, Aug. 18, they will also attend Wednesday, Aug. 19.
