The students in Crystal Gibbons’ kindergarten class recently learned more about authors and illustrators by becoming one themselves! They worked together to write and illustrate the story, "Joey Goes On An Adventure!" #RepthatA

As a review for learning numbers 1-20, student's in Shaena Winner's class spent time working together in groups. Students made Christmas trees and decorated them with numbered ornaments. Each group collaborated to put the numbers in the correct order! #RepthatA



Students at AELS enjoyed a day on the Polar Express! Staff and students alike had fun dressing in pajamas, reading the story and watching the movie, having cocoa and cookies, and completing Polar Express activities in their classroom! #RepthatA


The AELS students had a great time caroling on the last day of school before winter break! #RepthatA





The annual Rotary Christmas Party at the Elks took place and students from Katherine Elliott's class at AELS were able to attend the party. They had lunch and a visit from Santa. Cheri Ruttig and Brian Bader's classes from Rockhill were there too. #RepthatA

Kindergarten students took a dance class! After reading the story, "Degas and the Little Dancer," the students spent the entire week learning about art, music and dance. Holly Power, who danced for many years, took the students through a ballet class. #RepthatA

The preschoolers at AELS look forward to the special visits from Janet Metzger. She visits for story time and engages the young students in stories and songs. AELS is very grateful for all the partners at Rodman Public Library who provide enriching activities! #RepthatA

Students in Adam De Monte's preschool class made butter during the week themed "bread and butter." They talked about how we can make these foods, and how they are great to share. All of the students tried some of their homemade butter on some tasty bread. #RepthatA

The preschool students celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday with special programs for their parents! The students sang songs, danced, recited poems and had fun completing a craft and taking pictures with their parents at the photo booth. What a great way to celebrate! #RepthatA





Kindergarten students at AELS have been learning all about shapes. Students used geoboards to create shapes, design pictures using shapes, go on a shape hunt and find examples of shapes in the classroom. They had fun learning about shapes! #RepthatA

There is a FREE community-wide Thanksgiving Dinner at the Salvation Army on Saturday, Nov. 23! All are welcome and encouraged to attend. #RepthatA


Kindergarten students and teachers traveled to the Canton Palace Theatre to participate in a Jim Gill concert! Mr. Gill is a writer and singer of kids songs, as well as an author. They got to dance be silly while singing along to his songs! Great fun was had by all! #RepthatA
