Students at AELS had the opportunity to explore the galaxy using the inflatable Star Lab! 🌝💫 Kindergarten teacher Tracy Bowser took each class on an exciting journey through space to learn about stars, constellations and the moon. Ja’Cobi Lilley, a 5th grader at AIS, wanted to learn how to 3D print using the printer available at his school! 🖨️ He was so interested that he took the time to research 3D printing at home and teach himself how to use the technology.

He started small, but once he got the hang of it, he began printing larger items. One of his projects was a 3D-printed gecko! 🦎 Now, students across the building are curious about 3D printing and excited to learn how it works.

He has been working alongside classmates Emma Foraker, Harper Bartchy, Haley Bates and Adalynn Staggers, who choose to spend their recess time learning and helping with the machines.

Ja’Cobi hopes to become an engineer one day, and his creativity and determination are helping him build skills that will support that goal. ⚙️

And to think, it all started with a little curiosity and the initiative to learn something new! Way to go, Ja’Cobi! ✈ #RepthatA

🩵❤️ Aviator Sweethearts: Jim ('94) and Paula ('94) Bondoni ❤️🩵

Jim and Paula met and became friends in middle school, and both bowled in a Saturday morning league.

They have been together for 33 years and will celebrate 28 years of marriage in April! Together, they have two daughters.

Jim’s favorite memory of being high school sweethearts is being flirty with one another during the bowling league. Paula’s favorite memory is when she sprayed Hawaiian Fruit Punch all over Jim because he made her laugh mid-drink!

🩵❤️ Aviator Sweethearts: Leroy ('68) & Mary Ann ('70) Truby ❤️🩵

Leroy and Mary Ann met in high school orchestra in 1968. The flutes and cellos had a long rest at the same time. Mary Ann glanced up to see Leroy, a cello player, holding his bow to his lips as if playing a flute.

They have been married since 1973! Together they have two children, Jean (Truby) Myers and Jonathan Truby.

Their favorite memory of being high school sweethearts is from their very first date, when Leroy went home and told his mom he had just met the girl he was going to marry. ☺️

🩵❤️ Aviator Sweethearts: Antonio ('17) & Camryn ('17) Antonosanti ❤️🩵

Antonio and Camryn met their freshman year during a cross country practice. Antonio went with Camryn to get water when she was out of breath and handed it to her. She thought it was the sweetest gesture.

Together they have a two-year-old daughter named Isabella.

Their favorite memory about being high school sweethearts is their first homecoming dance together in 2013. Camryn knew right then and there that they would be together forever! ☺️
