Ella (4th), Emi (2nd), and Amanda Hennon (kindergarten teacher) had an amazing time in Hawaii this summer! 🌺 They went surfing 🏄, and Emi went ziplining. They even saw sea turtles 🐢 swimming and resting on the beach and hiked to a waterfall where they swam at the bottom. 🌊

Several ACS staff members and students volunteered today to help with the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank's Pop-Up Pantry! 🥫 This was the second of three Pop-Up Pantries that ACS and the Food Bank have partnered to host this summer.

Approximately 170 families received food at no cost. 🍅 Items included fresh produce, canned goods, frozen pot pies, juice, pasta, peanut butter, and more! We are incredibly grateful to the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank for hosting these pantries here in Alliance and allowing us to help support the needs of our community.

📅 The final Pop-Up Pantry of the summer will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 11 am - 1 pm in the parking lot of Glamorgan Castle. #RepthatA

Timothy Dodd (K) and Brently Jones (5th) took a trip to Kennywood amusement park in Pennsylvania! 🎢 They had a great time riding their first roller coaster, especially when it went really fast! 😄

Raelynn (7th) and Brodee Mansfield (6th) had fun this summer visiting different sweet treat destinations, including S.A. Sweeties in Cleveland and the Coblentz Chocolate Company in Amish Country! 🍭 They especially loved the interactive Beach Park at Sweeties. 🍫

Cruze Zigler, a kindergartner, had an unbelievable trip to visit family in Sydney and Katoomba, Australia! 🇦🇺 They visited the Blue Mountains, saw the Three Sisters, and rode the Scenic Railway. 🚞 In Sydney, they went to the SEA LIFE Aquarium and Taronga Zoo, where they saw so many cool sea creatures 🐠 and animals. 🦘 Cruze loved spending time with his family and exploring so many exciting places. He can't wait to tell his classmates about his adventures in Australia this summer!

Connor Thomas, a 4th grader, spent time at the Leetonia Sportsman's Club for a Scouts day camp! He had a great time fishing 🎣 and doing target practice with bows and arrows 🏹 and slingshots. The best part was learning all kinds of new activities, developing outdoor skills, and spending time at camp bonding with his parents.

Ava George, a 5th grader, had a great trip to the Strip at Geneva-on-the-Lake! Her favorite parts of the trip were visiting the batting cages 🥎, playing games in the arcade, and having a girls' weekend with her mom.
