The students at Alliance Middle School had a blast pieing their teachers, principals, and secretary in the face! 🥧 They raised over $700 for the chance to pie one of the staff members! Way to go, AMS Aviators! ✈ #RepthatA

The seniors in the Cosmetology Career Tech Program hosted the annual Spa-A-Thon last week! 💅 Students were responsible for booking clients from noon to 6 pm and providing a variety of services, including manicures, pedicures, facials, haircuts, coloring, and more! 💇
This fantastic event gives future cosmetologists the opportunity to experience a real salon atmosphere while still under the guidance of their teachers, Lisa Scanlon and Robert Fountain.
The students did a great job! 😊 #RepthatA

Some of the 2nd graders at Alliance Elementary School learned about fire safety from a familiar face! 🔥 Alliance Firefighter Will Kinser, a 2019 graduate of Alliance High School, visited the classes of Crystal Haba, Amy Recchuiti, and Morgan Thomas to teach students about fire safety!
Will talked about the importance of smoke detectors, knowing your address, calling 911, and remembering to stop, drop, and roll. He also put on his full firefighting gear so students could see what he looks like while on the job and explained how each piece keeps him safe.
Thank you, Will, for sharing your time and expertise and for being such a great example of an Aviator being a caring citizen! ✈ #RepthatA

✈ Lynn (Moore) Fast ✈
Position: Teacher Aide
School: Alliance Early Learning School
Graduation Year: 1977
Years at ACS: 28
Favorite Memory:
"My favorite memory is spending time with my friends going to the football and basketball games and cheering in the pep club."
Influential Staff Member:
"I'd have to say Mr. Fails. He taught history. I really didn't like history back then, but he made it fun and interesting!!"
Choosing to work for ACS:
"I was born in Alliance. My family is here and my husband and I raised our children here."
Importance of giving back:
"For me, I saw the need when my children started school. I got involved volunteering in their classrooms and I liked being around the students. I thought I could help make a difference in their school experience, so when the opportunity came I applied for a job as a teachers assistant. I've worked with different age students, but I fell in love with the younger special needs kids. I feel that it is important to give back to the schools and support your community because you should always remember where you came from."
Ms. Fast’s dedication to her students and love for her hometown truly embodies what it means to give back to the place that helped shape you. 🩵❤️ #RepthatA

Tracy Bowser's class, along with 12 parent helpers, carved pumpkins in small groups. 🎃 The students also completed a science report about their pumpkins. They drew pictures of a pumpkin and then the finished Jack-o-lantern, described it and made predictions of the circumference of the pumpkin.
They had fun putting their hands inside the pumpkins, taking out the seeds and carving it! 😁 #RepthatA

✈🏀 Aviators Giving Back! 🏀✈
Members of the Alliance High School basketball team volunteered with the Mayor’s Green Commission for a community cleanup this weekend! Despite the cold weather, they spent hours picking up debris and helping clear nearly 40 yards of trash from one of Alliance’s few remaining natural habitats.
The team brought strength, energy, and kindness to the event, as reported by a member of the Mayor's Green Commission. Their efforts made a lasting impact on our community and environment! 😊
Way to go, Aviators, for showing what it means to be caring citizens on and off the court! We are so proud of you! A special shout out to Coach Chet an Coach Korey for encouraging these young men to give back and teaching them the value of volunteering! ✈ #RepthatA

Kaley Sloane’s and Sam Young’s classes at Alliance Elementary School practiced trick-or-treating yesterday! 🍭 Superintendent Rob Gress read a fun story about how dinosaurs trick-or-treat before students traveled around the school, knocking on doors and practicing saying “trick-or-treat” and “thank you” as they received their goodies! 🎃
This fun activity helped students practice valuable communication skills while enjoying the Halloween spirit.
