Chelsea Young's class has been busy reflecting on what truly matters this season 🤍 Students brainstormed Christmas wishes that don’t cost a thing, sparking thoughtful conversations about gratitude, kindness, and the value of spending time with the people we love. A beautiful reminder that the best gifts are often the simplest ones. 🎄 #RepthatA

Position: Communications Coordinator
School: Central Office
Graduation Year: 2014
Years at ACS: 7

Favorite Memory:
"One of my favorite memories is being a student board rep for the Board of Education, and specifically the meeting where the Investment Alliance Scholarship was officially announced. Finding out I was part of the first class of Investment Alliance Scholars and I was able to go to college with a full-tuition scholarship was such a life-changing moment. I will forever be grateful for the partnership between ACS & UMU that allowed this program to be created and continue to thrive."

Influential Staff Member:
"I had several teachers and staff who positively impacted me from kindergarten to graduation. A few of them that come to mind are Mr. Morris, Mrs. Krichbaum, Ms. Gasparik and Ms. Knowles. Each of them showed kindness, patience and understanding at various times in my life, and I appreciate them for that."

Choosing to work for ACS:
"As an Investment Alliance Scholar, I knew I wanted to find some way to give back to the Alliance Community. This position allows me to do just that. I love being able to support the students, staff and families through communication efforts. Showcasing all the initiatives, activities and events of the district and showing what makes ACS great feels like such a small way to give back to the community, but one that's worthwhile and so much fun!"

Importance of giving back:
"The schools do more for families and community members than people realized. I had no idea the impact the district has until I started working here and saw how much dedication, compassion and time the staff members give to each student and family. Being able to help showcase all the amazing work they do is rewarding and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the district in this way."

Miss Gonzales is thankful for the experiences ACS gave her and is honored to now support the district by sharing its story with the community. 🩵❤️ #RepthatA
